Sr. Software Engineer – Firewall/IPS
SmartEdge product line
Location: San Jose
In this role you will develop and enhance software on our industry leading broadband aggregation router (B-RAS) products. Our award winning products help service providers build broadband networks that can deliver triple play services like: IPTV, Video on Demand, Multimedia Networking, etc.
The successful candidate for this position will be working on delivering security capabilities on client platforms. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with implementing security functions such as firewalls and other advanced higher layer services on carrier class systems. Solid understanding of firewalls, NAT and application level gateways is a prerequisite.
Knowledge of related protocols and VPN technologies is a plus.
Skills Required:
· Expert knowledge of Firewalls /NAT / ALG's
· Expert knowledge of TCP/IP and networking in general
· Knowledge of application protocols such as HTTP, SMTP, IMAP, POP3, FTP
· Excellent C programming and debugging skills
· Working knowledge of UNIX like kernels
· B.S (CS/EE) with at least 5 years implementation experience
